The calculator uses the wall area, opening deductions, block face dimensions and mortar joint to estimate the number of concrete masonry units (CMUs). Waste, special blocks, mortar, grout, reinforcement and pricing are calculated from the project inputs.

Net Wall Area = Gross Wall Area − Total Opening Area
Gross wall area is calculated from wall length × wall height. Door and window openings are deducted individually.
